Mcdonald’s have launched this week their Great Tastes Of America campaign with music from the Silva Screen library, an essential element for their TV campaign. Jerome Moross’ theme for The Big Country is the archetypal piece of Western music and is a perfect fit for the ad.

Brothers” cider launch their summer ad campaign on May 14th to the thrilling guitar sound of Misirlou, the popular Greek song that was reinvented by surf guitarist Dick Dale in 1962. The version used in the ad is from the Silva Screen library and features on the forthcoming release 100 Greatest Film Themes Take 2, for its use in Pulp Fiction. The hottest show on American television at present is about to set UK TV and the charts alight this weekend. High school comedy drama Glee will launch on Channel 4 this Sunday (17th) after posting good figures on E4 and music from the series is populating the music industry midweeks. Silva Screen’s recording of O Fortuna from Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana features in the show.

Agora is one of Poland’s largest media companies and they will shortly be launching a series of film composer collections on CD, to be redeemed by vouchers in publications. Silva Screen’s catalogue features extensively in this series and the TV advertising includes The Godfather and The Mission, also from our library of themes .

Our version of Maybe Tomorrow, the theme to The Littlest Hobo has entered Amazon’s top 10 soundtrack chart. The song has increased in popularity recently thanks to its use in the Gregg’s advert and Ronan Keating’s performance on Children In Need.

The teaming of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with a subtle new twist on a selection of Motown classic songs will get a first TV airing shortly. Sky Sports will be utilising Get Ready by The Temptations in it’s new orchestral styling in December.
