Vic Mizzy, composer of one of TV’s greatest themes, The Addams Family, has died in Los Angeles. His harpsichord driven music for the 1964-1966 TV series revolving around the spooky inhabitants of 0001 Cemetery Lane has one of the great TV rhyming lyrics, “They’re creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious and spooky, they’re altogether ooky, the Addams family”. With it’s finger snapping accompaniment from the cast it provided much wealth for its author who once said, “That’s why I’m living in Bel-Air, two finger snaps and you live in Bel-Air”.
