Dame Petula Clark?

Sunday, October 14th, 2007

Petula Clark has been in show business for over 60 years, has sold 70 million records worldwide and is, as The Guinness Book Of Records confirms, Britain’s most successful female recording artist in history. In 1998 she was awarded the CBE and there is now a petition on the Downing Street website to make her a Dame, joining the illustrious company of her fellow singing artists who include Julie Andrews and Shirley Bassey.

Silva Screen have released a best selling DVD and CD of her 2003 Paris concert and are delighted to publicise this petition for such a deserving and worthy personality.

In an era of transient fame her achievements are simply outstanding and may never be surpassed.
