Doctor Who Welcomes 2009

The Doctor Who Prom which took place at the Royal Albert Hall in July will be shown on BBC1 on New Years Day. The highly acclaimed event features the BBC Philharmonic and London Philharmonic Chorus performing Murray Gold’s music for the series conducted by Ben Foster. Freema Agyeman hosts with special appearances from Catherine Tate and an exclusive film scene starring David Tennant and a mischievous Graske.

Iron Man Grammy Nomination

Ramin Djawadi’s powerful score to Iron Man has been nominated for a Grammy in the category Best Score Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media. It will compete against The Dark Knight (James Newton Howard, Hans Zimmer), Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull (John Williams), There Will Be Blood (Jonny Greenwood) and Wall-E (Thomas Newman). The 51st annual awards take place on February 8th in Los Angeles.
