Consummate film composer Hans Zimmer will receive a lifetime achievement award at the 10th Zurich Film Festival on October 1st. The Tonhalle-Orchester Zurich will perform music from his enormous repertoire of scores including The Lion King and Gladiator.

Samsung’s new worldwide TV campaign for their Curved OLED TV has been launched in New York. The epic advert set in a Roman amphitheatre uses a Silva Screen master recording – John Barry’s Zulu Appearance And Assault from the 1964 film. The track appears on the forthcoming May 5th release The Music Of John Barry – The Definitive Collection.
