Silva Screen will be represented at the opening and closing ceremonies of the XXII Winter Olympics in Sochi from Feb 7th to Feb 24th. Our recordings of film themes from Russian composer Dimitri Tiomkin have been licensed for use at the opening and closing ceremonies. The Red Army Choir, who are released in the UK on Silva Classics will also be performing.

Steven Price is now in line for the big one with his innovative score for Gravity on the list of nominations for an Oscar in the Original Score category. The awards take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on March 2nd.
Congratulations to composer Steven Price for his BAFTA nomination in the Original Film Music category. The Silva Screen release has had great reviews and it’s a remarkable achievement for a composer with only his third full film score. Gravity has a total of 11 nominations and the awards will be presented at The Royal Opera House on February 16th.
