The premiere of the sixth season of Doctor Who has smashed BBC America viewing records with 1.3m people tuning in for the opener. The episode entitled The Impossible Astronaut was filmed for the first time in the show’s history in the USA. The figures beat the record previously held by the season five premiere.

It’s the story of a young Roman soldier in Britain honouring his father’s memory,  searching for his legion’s golden emblem. Silva Screen will release the score for The Rite worldwide in February. Composed by Alex Heffes (Dear Frankie, The Last King Of Scotland) it stars Anthony Hopkins in a supernatural thriller set in an exorcism school in Rome. The film opens in the US on Jan 28th and in the UK on February 25th.
