The cover art for Clint Mansell’s upcoming soundtrack for the Ben Wheatley film “High-Rise” has been taken from a poster designed early in the film’s production process by US poster artist Jay Shaw. Shaw runs design studio “Kingdom of Nonsense” and designs for, amongst others, the legendary poster company, Mondo. Much of Shaw’s work is inspired by early 20th century Eastern European design, and the bold, stark imagery is perfectly suited to High Rise’s social symbolism, with the tower block set at its centre. You can read an interview from 2013 with the artist here.
