Jim Parker who died recently was a prolific BAFTA winning composer writing extensively for television and the concert hall alongside much loved albums collaborating with Sir John Betjeman in putting his poetry to music. He composed the music for Midsomer Murders running to 121 episodes over 20 years. In 2015 Silva Screen released the music from the episode The Ballad Of Midsomer County which focused on “The Little Crosby Folk Festival” which included folk songs from Seth Lakeman and Lucie Jones framed by Parker’s themes.
