Danny Elfman’s quirky, melodic score to Tim Burton’s adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic Children’s book.

This wonderfully quirky melodic score and songs from Hollywood’s great Danny Elfman (The Simpsons, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Wolfman), harks back to Edward Scissorhands, Burtons’ and Elfman’s most personal work, and is a return to the composer’s ‘vintage’ sound from the late 1980s and early 1990s.

“It was more fun than I ever had working on a movie. It was so crazy and doing all the vocals was so much fun. I found myself falling into voices, singing vocal mannerisms. I was having such a gas.” – Danny Elfman

“…a wonderful listen. The opening Wonka’s Welcome Song is a gas, and the four child-chastising Oompa-Loompa tunes are undeniably delightful, both musically (coming in rock, Bollywood, psychedelic and pop flavours) and lyrically (thanks, Roald). Plus, tracks combining Elfman’s signature soaring chorals, Gothic organ and crashing cymbals with energetic bursts of synths (Finale) and Indian instrumentation (The Indian Palace) are his most thrilling in years”. – Empire Magazine
